Nephron Sparing Surgery for Bilateral Renal Cell Carcinoma in Von Hippel-Lindau Disease

Abstract
|

|
Von Hippel-Lindau disease(VHLD)is a rare autosomal dominant disorder, characterized variable tumor formation in CNS, retina, kidney and abdominal organs. We experienced 2 cases of VHLD with bilateral renal cell carcinoma(RCC). L patient who
manifested
bilateral RCC, renal cysts, cerebellar hemangioblastoma and epididymal cysts underwent nephron sparing surgery. Postoperative courses satisfactory. However, 1 patient who manifested bilateral RCC, renal cysts, cerebellar hemangioblastoma,
pancreatic
cysts and retinal angioma rejected nephron sparing surgery.
